21 Savage Themed Birthday
10.26.20
Last Thursday, 21 Savage turned twenty-eight years old. To celebrate, as any savage would, 21 Savage through a massive themed party, in the middle of a continuous pandemic. Everyone came dressed up in their best 70s outfits. There were large afro wigs, flared pants, and plenty of sequence and bling. Major names that showed up were T.I., Meek Mill, G Herbo, Gunna, Mulatto, and many more. Atlanta, and others, showed up and showed out for 21 Savage on his birthday, despite all that is happening in the world. Just in time for Halloween, this night was a perfect launch to themed parties and costumes. Let’s break down everyone’s outfits and who was the real best dressed of the night.
Let’s start with the birthday man himself, 21 Savage. 21 Savage worked with stylist and costume design creative, Fatima, for his birthday 70s look. He had on the all-black gator boots, a red leather suite that had that flames on the red flared pants as well as the knee length jacket. The flames are the same red as the rest of the suite, for a subtle but sweet touch. Of course, he wore a button up top underneath his jacket, only buttoned half way. His chest was covered up by his chains, which would work for any decade, although the triangle shape brings back meaning to the money schemes that all the mobsters and pimps were into back in the day. Finally, 21 wears red tinted, circle lenses glasses, and a lovely afro hair piece. This was 21 Savage’s party, so he had to look like the head man in charge. I would say with this look, he definitely pulls off that idea. He looks fantastic, but do I think he cold have gone a little bit more over the top? Yes, I do.

We could have all assumed that G Herbo would come dressed as some sort of a gangster. He shared these images on his Instagram page, as well as a few images of men from this decade that seem to be important to Herbo. G Herbo wrote:
“ANY DECADE IM COMING IN GANGSTA & LEAVING THE SAME WAY! HAPPY BIRTH RITE MY BROTHER BIG 4L @21savage! LOL AWW YEAH S/O ALL THEM REAL NIGGAS WHO DID THIS SHIT B4 US MAN”
It is super clear that he had a good night, and his outfit slayed as well. From the hat, to the glasses with the clear frames, the fur on his jacket, the ruffles on his shirt, to the two-toned pants and the red pointed shoes, he absolutely killed this look. I would never expect anything less from Herbo, and quite honestly, I can see him rocking this look on the regular, especially after getting to see himself wearing it. Not only does the theme fit well, but it looks natural, which is extra points.

Young Thug and his Slime crew came through rolling deep for 21 Savage’s birthday. Everyone knows how Gunna and Thug feel about their drip, so the anticipation for these looks is high. The thought was definitely there, but I can see most of these outfits flying any day of the current decade.
Perhaps Gunna was a bit too cool to go over the top. He is dressed as a gangster from the 70s, but he probably will wear this look in his next music video. Gunna is dressed in some black dress shoes dark denim, a black button up with some gold stripes, and a fur trench. A nice look, do not get me wrong, just nothing too outstanding for a themed party.
Young Thug on the other hand, looks like he stole a butler uniform from his niece. It may be the way his blazer is cut, but it barely makes it around his waist. The button-up top does not button, and looks a bit tight where it is tucked into the pants. The pants, these are more than floods. These are borderline shorts. Plus, the scarf around his neck, belt line, and gloves, just feel a bit more butler than they do gangster. Thugger should have just came through and the most outstanding dress of the party. That would have helped their rating.
The rest of the guys are a bit basic. One of them has a wig, but it is a sad one compared to the other guests. I love the blue pinstriped suit, but Steve Harvey still wears this look daily. Out of the whole crew, I got to give best dressed to whoever Yung Legend is, with his green corduroy flared pants, floral top and a Newsboy cap. He looks like he had a lot of fun, too which is great. Too bad the rest of his clan just does not make the top fits of the night.

There is always that one friend that does not want to dress up for the costume party, because that just is not their thing, am I right? Would you not expect that one friend to be Meek Mill? He might just be a little bit too cautious about his reputation, how he looks. All of these people have stories, but Meek really went from the system coming for him unjustifiably for years and throughout his time of fame. What was once orange suits and handcuffs, what was previously XXL white tees and denim, today is one of the best fashion games in hip-hop.
With that, Meek Mill did participate in the 70s theme look. He looks it seriously, did a great job, but kept it as clean and as cool as humanly possible. Meek had on the afro wig and the red tinted circle frames, just as 21 Savage did. He paired this with a cream turtleneck long-sleeve, which absolutely screams the 70s. On top of that, a causal black suit. This was definitely the look of a gambling man headed to the casino for some gin and dice. Not to mention, he looked really good in this look as well. Meek kept it cool, but played it well, no doubt.

Lil Baby and his lady, Jayda Cheaves, brought some color to the party. I mean, when you first think of the 70s, most people think about the colorful floral print looks, headbands, and crazy hair or accessories. The couple played this idea very well.
Jayda had on blue sequence pants with gold platform shoes. This just so happened to match her bag, perfectly. She pairs this with a button up white top, blue tinted tiny rectangle frames, and a blue acid wash bandana.
Lil Baby had a purple theme going, with his purple velour sneakers, purple bellbottom pants, white button up top with purple floral patterer, a purple hat and purple tinted round frames. Of course, he wanted to keep it gangster with his pimp cain and pimp glass.
Overall, these separately are everyday pieces, however when you put them together, they make outstanding 70s looks. On top of the outfits themselves, the couple makes the photo the most iconic, by being in a garage filled with old-school cars from the 70s. This brings rolling up in style to a whole new level, and for that, they get some bonus points.

T.I. and Tiny came to steal the show, as always. T.I. recently had a birthday, just announced that he finally got his own Verzuz battle that he has been waiting for, he is going to become a grandfather soon, and this is all to say that he is the God Father of Atlanta hip-hop. He can still hang with the youngings like 21 Savage, but he is the closest to this decade of the rest of the party (T.I. is forty, and was born in 1980). Him and Tiny look absolutely incredible, and definitely came for the outfit crown.
In the 70s, if you did not have a fur and some glitter, you just were not doing it right. Tiny came through in a full sequence pink jumpsuit, with a white cropped fur. She looks absolutely stunning, with her ombre tinted glasses, and a pink hair tie for her half-up half-down hair style. Please do not forget those giant hoop earrings, those are essential to this decade’s wardrobe.
T.I. then coming through with the red pants and trippy patterned shirt. The shirt has some reds, some blues and greens, some oranges and all different shades of the colors, which T.I. brings out in the remainder pieces of his look. He has a handkerchief scarf around his next, with some more bold colors to color block the look. A classic accessory to the 70s stunting man. He has a light olive green vest on, with a fringe hem and chain closer, a subtle, very nice touch. The fur is outstanding, as the different shades of brown throughout pair nicely with the color palette of the entire look, while the roll-over collar is a bit muted to break up the pieces. T.I.’s glasses are a translucent yellow tint, and my favorite piece of all, has got to be the hat. It is a dark pinkish hat with an acid-tone wash that gives a cloudy print effect. The perfect accessory to pull the whole look together. An absolutely incredible job by the Harris family here tonight.

Mulatto has been absolutely blowing up since her XXL Freshman feature, or her Gucci Mane feature, or her cameo in the WAP music video, or her new album Queen of Da Souf, wherever you may have picked up on Mulatto, you know her, and you love her. She has definitely been killing the game in the music industry lately, and she sure does know how to come through a dress up party as well. Mulatto takes the cake as the best dressed winner of the night at 21 Savage’s 70 themed birthday party.
Mulatto would probably be this woman you see here if she was in her prime during the 70s. She is wearing a full cheetah print look that was either made specifically for this party, or that was borrowed from the Queen of the 70s because it was definitely all made to go together. Her mini skirt has a large chain belt to add some bling to the look. The corset top extends on to long sleeves and a full, floor length jacket. The hem of the collar, sleeves, and jacket all have a thick, dark fur hem line, which is replicated exactly on these knee-high fur boots. Of course Mulatto has to come through with the long, circle rim hat to match her cheetah outfit, and yes, that is a cheetah pimp cain as well. If this is not enough, Mulatto’s red lip matches her red whip from the 70s, and she clearly did not come here to play.
Mulatto shared tons of photos on her Instagram, and simply captioned the post with the title for one of 21 Savage’s new songs from his album. Also, initiating that she just absolutely destroyed the outfit game at this party. No questions about it.
