Feet Heat in Movies

4.30.20

When you’re a proclaimed sneakerhead, or have an obsession with shoes, it is many times is the first thing you notice about a person. For actors, actresses and directors, footwear is likely the least of their worries. So, when you see your favorite character, super hero or actor rocking some heat, it is pretty exciting. Of course if they’re a ball player or an athlete in the film, it’s bound to happen. But when it is really a surprise, it’ll make some noise. Here are some of the best moments where the main actor on film has a serious shoe game.

Air Jordan 6 ‘Black Cat’

In the early 90s, Michael Keaton was filming ‘Batman Returns,’ and needed some kicks to wear in his all black cat suit. Jordan used an all black Jordan 6 as the base of the shoe, and built it into a boot for Batman to wear. Decades later, sneaker heads can buy an Air Jordan 6 Black Cat, as well as Air Jordan 3 Black Cat and Air Jordan 4 Black Cat. A hidden gem for super hero nerds.

Nike Cortez

In 1994, Forrest Gump took the Nike Cortez for a run. What back then, was just a casual, comfy trainer, is an icon today. The Nike Cortez celebrated it’s 45th anniversary in 2017. Bella Hadid skateboarding was the campaign creative, and color ways were produced for everyone, including special occasions. Little did Gump know, he was a trend setter, way ahead of his time.

Air Jordan 4 ‘Fire Red’

In 2013, Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum teamed up as Secret Service Agents. In what should be a serious, action and violent film, becomes light hearted and entertaining around one topic: sneakers. You’ll find Jamie Foxx rummaging through his closet, to pull our a pair of Fire Reds. The greatest part, Foxx is battling with a terrorist on the ground, de-armed, and is grabbed by the feet. Foxx responds “Get. Your. Hands. Off. My. Jordans!” We all know that feeling.

Nike Air More Uptempo

Did you know that George even wore shoes? Upon his arrival to his homeland of Africa, a UPS truck pulls up, gathering the attention of the entire community. Brendan Fraser, who plays George, opens up the package, which happens to be the Nike Air More Uptempos. He instantly laces them up and runs around the village. The Uptempo today is loved by some and hated by others, and is a big collaborator silhouette with Supreme. Either way, a for sure eye catcher and prime unexpected product placement, once again, from Nike.
