Styling the Air Jordan 8

12.17.20

I feel similar to the Air Jordan 8 than I do the 6 which I wrote about a few weeks back. It’s a tough sneaker, and you have to be tough to rock it. High top, bulky, different shapes and materials, the ankle strap, etc. Typically, a mens silhouette, which is even tough for them. However, this burgundy colorway was made for the ladies, and the Jordan team did us right, yet again.

The mainly white upper includes burgundy details in just the right amount. The buckle is there, but it’s thin enough to just be a cute detail, instead of being the focal point of the entire shoe. I honestly love the lace coverage with the Jordan ‘23’ stitching. My favorite accent piece has to be the Jordan Jumpman logo on each tongue, which is made of a terrycloth material in the burgundy, gray and black as seen on the sneaker, and a royal blue that is just an additional, interesting accent. I was so excited to get my hands on a pair of these, and style them in ways for each and every occasion.

The Little T-Shirt Dress

Classic, simple, but so much fun. I adore this long-sleeve t-shirt dress, because you can just never go wrong with the cute and cozy. The Volcom Stone logos down the sleeves make the dress a bit more edgy, and just right to go with these kicks. The burgundy, white and black is the perfect pairing, while the primary colors of each piece off-set each other to enhance the look instead of one piece taking away from the other. I would wear this look anytime you’re on the go with no time to get ready, but still need to look cute.

Eazy Breezy

The long-sleeve and shorts is the classic ‘chill’ look for those semi-cold nights. Depending on which coast you are in, it might be all the way cold, but as long as you have your heat on, and you are just hanging out and having some drinks with friends, this is your vibe. The loose fit of the set is perfect for the fitted, but bulky silhouette of the sneakers. Wearing this look on your errands, trip to the movies, chill kick back at your friends house, here is the key look.

Big Business

Playing with the burgundy here, this parachute pant jumpsuit is one of a kind. The top is fitted and flirty, while the pants flair out extensively, and can be adjusted on the ankles. The ties allow you to adjust and pull up the hem, leaving you with just enough space to show off your kicks. Toss on this faux leather jacket and your fit is in business. I could wear this to a brunch, a bar, or any cute little get together with friends.

Floral Party

First of all, these pants are everything. A cozy jogger, loose fit, cinched ankles, with a beautiful all-over floral print. I paired it with this gray sweetheart top to kind of neutralize the cool colors on the pants, and really make the warm colors (the burgundy of the flowers) pop to match the kicks. Colorblock with your army green khaki jacket, and you are really ready for it all. A mall trip, dinner, the bars, this look has you best dressed anywhere you may go.

Super Chic

This look almost gives me office vibes. But then throw off the jacket, and it brings me bar vibes. The body suit and black pant combo is super chic and flattering. Throw on your kicks and you are ready for your night out on the town. I would accessorize with a jacket layer, some jewelry and your bag choices to really decided if you want to dress this up or take it down a notch.

Burgundy Babe

Night out, but you are just not feeling your heels? The Jordan 8 Burgundy was made for us ladies to shine. The color is almost identical to that of this dress, which is the most flattering piece of clothing I have in my closet. It has a black liner and a button up closure, which accents the black details and thin strap on the kicks. I love this pairing, and would wearing it out to the bars, or at any party or get together where you will be dressing up, but also keeping it cool and comfy on feet.
