Styling the Air Max Plus Tartan

2.5.21

I am a personal big fan of the Tartan collection. Who doesn’t love a good plaid? Nonetheless, they are a bit tricky to style. Do you have the exact print, or at least the right colors to make a case? Especially with a black base, the unique designs and textures of the Air Max Plus, this is definitely an interesting one. However, they look so good when do you do it right!

I asked for these for Christmas a few years back. My family member who bought these for me was not impressed whatsoever, but I love them. Comfortable, festive, and loud. My favorite. Here are some looks for you to rock with your Tartan kicks, whether you’re running errands, going to the bar or a fancy dinner. Enjoy!

For the Soule Fridays

This sneaker is something special, but the silhouette just screams sporty fashion. What better fit than an oversized crew and some cozy long shorts. Just to chill, or a run a quick errand, you truly cannot go wrong. You know we had to bring the For The Soule shop into play with our styling sessions and I love this look all around. Graphics tees, and big logos are huge trends right now, so absolutely anything goes. But, you should definitely make your way over to the For The Soule Shop and pick up yours today!

Reckless With The Trends

A matching tracksuit is what I am living in since this crazy pandemic. Cozy, but cute! We are matching, looking good, feeling great, and what better shoes to match than your chunky stylish runner? I am wearing this look to work, to run errand, to go shopping, and let’s be honest, to chill at my girlfriends over the weekend. I do not think this trend is going anywhere, even when the world opens back up.

Shine On

Color blocking with a statement pattern is the highest of skills when it comes to wardrobing. These kicks have the slightest bit of a yellow hint in the pattern, so I like to make this pop with a shimmery yellow top. It does make this a bit festive, but you can also just think of it as super fancy. These black flowy pants are the perfect match for this look, and you can dress it up with a leather jacket, or tone it down a bit with a chunky sweater. Depending on how you accessorize, you can really rock this look anywhere the night may take you.

Plaid and Pleather

Here is our going out look. We have lots of texture here. A fun plaid on the sneakers, a pleather pant, and a soft lace bodysuit. It’s kind of like you’re doing the most, but when it’s all black and tied together so neatly, it is absolutely necessary. Take on the night in your baddest fit, we love an all black going out look with a statement sneaker.

All Plaid Everything

When you can make your plaids line up, it works. These are not exactly by any means, but they do encompass the three main colors, black, red, and some yellow. Now that they’re both statement pieces, a nice wide leg is nice to lay on top of the sneakers, so you mostly see the black chunky sole, but the plaid on plaid appears when your legs kick through. I like to pair this jumpsuit with a turtleneck underneath, but you could rock with any long sleeve shirt, or even a cardigan on top.

I’ll Take A Nice Red, Please

For a fancy dinner, a family gathering or a fun event. This turtleneck dress is a soft material on the inside to keep you warm in the winter. Layer with a statement coat to match the kicks, and accessorize with your favorite bling. Super cute, nice and warm, and style for days. Whoever said you cannot wear sneakers with a dress is just not doing it right.
