To me, the A$AP Mob as a whole is one of the most slept on hip-hop artists/group in the game. A$AP Rocky gets the most of the limelight from the bunch, however they are all extremely talented. Recently, it seems that Rocky himself has been a bit quiet, until now. Rocky scored the cover of GQ Magazine, and had a lot of juicy things to say during his interview.

Of course, A$AP Rocky talked about his experience in Swedish prison, and essentially being freed by former President Donald Trump. If you do not recall this crazy incident, it was in 2019, when a couple of kids on the street were harassing Rocky, and wouldn’t leave him alone. Eventually, an altercation broke out that got him arrested behind bars. He was locked up for over a month, and President Trump set out to free him by any means. We all know where his intensions lied with that one, but at least he got Rocky home.

When it comes down to the music, Rocky is upset that his last album did not hit. Testing, his project from 2018 reached spot number 6 on charts, where his previous album had hit number one. Rocky was discouraged because he felt like his fans “didn’t get it.” Which, makes sense. Again I think these guys are extremely underrated, and the New York sound is much different now than the A$AP Mob way. It simply just did not hit like it should have, though spot number 6 is nothing too shabby. However, we are expected to be receiving a new album at some time soon from Rocky, tentatively titled, All Smiles. This one may be even more interesting of test, as Rocky declares that he is trying something new with this project. He stated that he has a good catalog already, and there is really no point to continuing to do the exact same thing. So, it will certainly be interesting to see what the artist has up his sleeve for this one.

Now what most people want to know, is his relationship status. Though Rocky opted to not to talk too much about Rihanna herself, he did acknowledge that the two are in a relationship and she is “the love of his life.” We’ve had speculations about the couple for a while now, but they’ve seemed to both be quiet for the past few months. That has to be normal, as they are both complete go-getters with their music and multiple businesses on their own. However, Rocky shares he is extremely happy in his relationship, stating that Rihanna is the equivalent to a million of others combined, and if fatherhood would to come his way, he would be ready.

The two have a bond of music, fashion, and more. I love them together, so excited to see this moment for them blossom. Maybe they’ll get a couple cover next - look out Uzi and JT.
