Almost Healed
5.1.23
After last summer’s Lollapalooza, Lil Durk mentioned he’d be taking a break to focus on himself, after being hit in the face with fireworks. While he has not been completely silent since, fans are ready for a new, Lil Durk body of work. This could officially be near, as Durk teases new music video with J Cole.
In January, Lil Durk shared a post captioned The Voice 2.0, leading fans to think that Lil Durk was back, and better than ever. Just two weeks ago, Lil Durk shared a post of a headline discussing his scholarship fund for HBCUs. Within the caption, using #AlmostHealed. This hashtag may feel a bit unfitting for this post, but uses it once again after sharing a handful of photos of himself and J Cole on set a music video photoshoot.
The photos include both Lil Durk and J Cole, along side dozens of children and an ice cream truck, in some sort of a park. Both artists are at the calibre of wanting to give back to the youth, so it appears to be a meaningful video, which could tie back to the context of how the song will sound.
Between his Lollapalooza accident, his friends’ he has lost and his relationship woes (which appear to be better now), #AlmostHealed could be the name of Lil Durk’s new album and what he has been feeling over the past few months. Whether or not that is it, it will be assumed new music is on the way.
Are you excited for this Lil Durk, J Cole collab? Ready for Durk’s next project?
