Face tattoos were once a sign of a criminal. The tear drop being the most common, representing murders committed, long sentences in prison, lost gang members, etc. Today, face tattoo are more-so associated with the Sound Cloud rapper generation.

I dropped out and got face tats
So-sorry mama, gotta face facts
I sell lean, done sold crack
Too late no goin' back - Lil Pump

As you can see, quite a cringe-worthy group, that the vast population may frown upon. We also have the crazies, like the lady who tatted DRAKE on her forehead in huge letters. And then there is Aaron Carter who got Rhianna with Medusa hair tatted on his face. These are all bad looks, even the RiRi tatt.

Newest member to the face tattoo world, is Amber Rose. She now, permanently, has “Slash Bash” written on her forehead in a script. What some people might find outrageous and trashy - I kind of like it. First of all, it’s not like she tatted AE4President across her forehead. It is a tribute to her children, who are the absolute cutest kids I have ever seen in my life.

Second, I think it suites her. Amber has two full sleeves, so it’s not like she was a blank canvas before. This tattoo, is kind of like the bridge from one sleeve to the other. I took art class throughout my entire education path. One thing I’ve learned in each in every class, is how to make a viewer, look at your entire piece of work. For example, if you have a really silly face drawn in the left, bottom corner of your painting, who is going to look at your amazing detailed apple in the upper right? You need some sort of flow to your artwork, to get peoples eyes moving across the board. Anyways, that’s my art nerd analogy to what I mean by the bridge between her two sleeves. And of course, Amber shaved her head. Who needs a wig now? Show off those beautiful children of yours, Amber. If anyone can rock it, you can (and probably just you, I will say that).

Finally, do you think Amber Rose gives a DAMN what you have to say about her face tattoo? Not only is she going to say, this is a tribute to my children which I adore, of course. But Amber Rose has always been out there, screaming body positivity, women equal rights, be who you are and don’t be ashamed about it. I think Amber is a women of strong emotions, big amplifying tactics, and here to show the world no one can stop you from being your own self. I am HERE, for Amber Rose’s face tattoo.

UPDATE! It looks like AE went ahead and got a face tattoo to match. Reading “10.10.19” and “2.21.13,” with a lightening bolt in the middle, this is a clear representation of the two kids, as well. Slash Electric, they are both parents to. However, 2.21, represents Bash, Amber’s son with Wiz Khalifa. I would call this a bold statement, but a commitment to his relationships with Amber. Overall, not as impressed or worried about AE4’s face tattoo. Glad they’re keeping their relationship strong, though.
