Baby Drill, a rising hip-hop artist has dropped a new project, just hours after being released from prison. First Day Out artists will have to do better now that this entire project is out on streaming platforms, twenty-four hours after his release and a full twenty-four hours prior to New Music Friday. The title of Baby Drill’s new project: Imposters.

Baby Drill’s new project features fourteen tracks with three features including 4Lquanm Latto and G Herbo. As you can likely tell by his name, Baby Drill is being his own style to the drill scene, and has some good features to back up his case on this project. Baby’s 32 Freestyle which is featured on the project was released eight months ago and has over 1.8 million views. Each of the new tracks from the project that just released this morning already have thousands of views, as well.

While Baby Drill’s new tape is sure to get a lot of positive recognition, his reasons for being locked up in the first place could is stirring up even more noise than his new project.

The details behind the arrest are scarce, but if you do your digging, the answers will arise. Many have speculated that Baby Drill played a role in the murder of Marlo, another Atlanta hip-hop artist whom lost his life in 2020. While this may or may not be true, it appears the charges were serious, however, he is home now. Many are surprised to hear the news, but share their excitement for his new music, and hope that perhaps this means YSL has a chance.
