Coi Leray has had her self one crazy ride during her rise to stardom as an artist, though times have been up since her debut album Trendsetter dropped. You know what they say about sophomore albums, and Coi is gearing up to share hers. The album is self-named, and the track-list has been revealed. Coi Leray’s sophomore album Coi, drops June 23rd.

We are about a month out for this album to drop, so I do expect Coi to go on some sort of a media press run to promote her upcoming project. Of course, she has already started doing so on social media, the platform that kick-started her career as an artist. One snippet Coi shares as one of her favorite songs from the project uses sample from 1989 hit record Pump Up The Jam from Technotronic. The track to look out for on Coi is titled Make My Day and features David Guetta.

In addition to David Guetta, the album also includes features from Lola Brooke, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Skillibeng and James Brown. The track-list is getting tons of commentary on Twitter for what is a bit of an interesting line-up. You may expect Saucy Santana and Lola Brooke to make the cut, as they’ve came up in the music industry around the same era. However, David Guetta hit his peak around the early 2010s, Giggs is an older artist from the UK, Skillibeng is a Jamaican artist, and James Brown passed when Coi Leray was just nine years old.

Whether you love this featured line-up or not, it is bound to showcase the versatility in Coi Leray, if you have not discovered it thus far. Coi grew up around music, and has arguably been executing her old sample selections better than any other artist doing it right now.

I think Coi Leray’s sophomore album takes her higher. Are you excited for this project? Who would you like to see Coi Leray collab with next?
