After DaBaby’s performance at Rolling Loud Miami, it seems as though the world is attempting to “cancel” him, once again. Apparently we forgot to leave Cancel Culture in 2020, but DaBaby does not seem to care too much and is going to continue pushing buttons once they hear this new track. DaBaby fires back at critics with new song and music video titled, Giving What It’s Supposed to Give.

During DaBaby’s Rolling Loud performance, in the middle of two songs, he began telling the fans to put their cell phones or lights in the air. He made a comment saying “put your cell phones in the air if you do not have HIV or AIDS or another disease that will kill you in a few weeks.” A few moments later, he made a comment disrespectful about LGBTQ+ men, and hurt the community and supporters around the world. T.I. and Boosie attempted to support DaBaby, but the people continued to back fire against both of them.

Lil Nas X and his father made comments asking to be left out of the situation. Elton Jon shared he believes there is no room in the music industry for anyone to speak negatively on the LGBTQ+ Community, or those living with the diseases referenced. Demi Lovato shared her thoughts, in a lengthy post, in hopes to educated people, that HIV and AIDS are not a disease stemming from sexual preference. Dua Lipa, who has a chart topping record with DaBaby, has fans whom were horrified, asking for his removal from the track. While that notion remains up in the air, she did comment on her Instagram Stories, that she is shocked, and stands with the LGBTQ+ Community.

The biggest loss, is likely his Boo Hoo Man deal. Boo Hoo recently launched an entire apparel collection under the name of DaBaby, but have publicly called it quits since this weekend. In an Instagram Post they shared a message:

boohooMAN condemn the use of homophobic language and confirm we will no longer be working with DaBaby.

Diversity and inclusion are part of the boohoo Groups DNA and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe.

We stand by and support the LGBTQ+ community, and do not tolerate any hate speech or discrimination in any form.

- boohooMAN

With all the commotion of these comments, the brand had to do this. But I wonder who they thought they were getting involved with, when the man seems to be getting cancelled or being involved in some sort of legal trouble ever other week.

Since this is certainly not the firs time DaBaby has faced adversity in his time being a celebrity, he shares it all in the new track, Giving What It’s Supposed to Give.

The beginning of the music video starts with DaBaby attending a funeral. The man laid to rest appears to be a police officer, and people around the Church are crying asking what DaBaby is doing there. He walks up to the casket to pay his respect, and ends up spitting on the deceased officer. This is clearly a message that DaBaby does not like the police, and has no intensions of being taught to think otherwise. Commentary before the scene stated an actual police officer’s name that allegedly wrongfully arrested DaBaby previously, and he had it out for him ever since.

The video went on of DaBaby in an out of a court room, and a jail cell. He made a comment again about AIDS. Comparing himself to the disease saying when you mess with him, he will never go away. There was a lot of craziness going on throughout the video. DaBaby is basically trolling all of his haters and letting them know he will not be changing for anyone.

I guess this kind of goes against 50 Cent mentoring him last week. But the song and video was up to par for likely being done in just a few days.
