Hurricane Chris Arrested for Murder
6.22.20
Back in 2007, Hurricane Chris had the anthem of the year with A Bay Bay. While some may call him a one-hit-wonder, he did have a few other hits and collaborations under his belt. However, the 2020 comeback to headlines is not one we would hope to see, from the artist.
This past Friday at 1AM, Hurricane Chris, otherwise known as Christopher Dooley, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen property. The events took place at a Texaco gas station in Louisiana, where Chris shot his victim multiple times, before he later passed from his wounds in the hospital.
Hurricane Chris reported to the police that he had shot a man, while acting in self-defense, as his victim was attempting to steal his vehicle. Police authorities, however, are saying this is a made-up story. Footage from the convenient store show that Chris was not acting in self-defense at all. On top of this, investigators whom ran the plates for Chris’ car claim that this vehicle did not even belong to Chris, rather, it was stolen from Texas.
This report seems rather messy. Why would one make his claim about the car, when the car was stolen in the first place? Was this an attempt at a Melly case where evidence would not prevail? Things are not looking up for Hurricane Chris. They caught him on tape.
