Likkle Miss

It was Nicki Minaj’s Chiraq single where she stated, “I might drop a new single every week until this album drop.” Nearly a decade later, I cannot help but think she continues to live by this mind-set. Several new songs and remixes to songs have been released over the past several weeks, and I am fully expecting an album is on the way.
First, Nicki released hit single Super Freaky Girl. Then, she released the remix on Queen Radio (or as Nicki calls, the Queen Mix), which featured several female hip-hop artists including BIA, JT, Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V and Maliibu Miitch. Not too long after, we received another single from Nicki Minaj, with more of a dancehall rhythm and flow.
This new single Likkle Girl featured Reggae artist from London, Skeng. The official music video reached 2,500,000 views in just ten days. Similarly to the Super Freaky Girl Remix, Nicki Minaj just dropped the next Queen Mix on Queen Radio yesterday. The Likkle Girl Remix features “The Fine Nine” which is said to be a group of nine of the biggest female artists in Dance Hall music today. The artists featured consist of Spice, Destra Garcia, Patrice Roberts, Lady Leshurr, Pamputtae, Dovey Magnum, Lisa Mercedez and London Hill.
While currently the video is just the single artwork, the video already has over 125,000 views, and almost 4,000 commending Nicki Minaj for giving other artists a platform to hop on songs she has already created an impact with.
On one end, Nicki Minaj continues to find new and existing female talent, and give them a platform, which is indeed commendable. On the other hand, could she have an album on the way? Do you need a new Nicki Minaj album?
