Lil Wayne’s Private Jet Search

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne has had quite the whirlwind of events the past few weeks, and it does not seem to be getting any easier. Though he has been releasing new music more frequently once again, there have been several shocking occurrences that seem to overshadow it all. Lil Wayne tried to convince his community to vote for Donald Trump, which they did not like. Ultimately, this ended in him ending his relationship that seemed too good to be true. Now, we have word that after police search his private jet, he faces charges that could book him for ten years in prison.

This search occurred in December of 2019. It appears this has been an ongoing investigation, where Lil Wayne was ultimately charged with possession of a weapon on a private plane, due to his past a known felon. One count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, could result in up to a ten year sentence for the victim, should he be proven guilty. Unfortunately we have seen this before and it does not sound great. However, Lil Wayne’s attorney remains optimistic about the situation.

"Carter is charged with possession a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private plane. There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person. The charge is that because he was convicted of a felony in the past, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm," attorney Howard Srebnick said.

Perhaps with the fact that he was not using it, nor had intended to use it in any criminal manner, and has a clean record since his last booking, they may forgive him. Maybe Donald Trump will come to his rescue in attempts to help out the campaign he has already lost. Loosing Lil Wayne at a time like this, would just be another terrible thing to add to the list of what 2020 has brought us.

Rumors had just spread that Lil Wayne would be in an upcoming Verzuz battle with T.I. Originally, T.I. was supposed to battle Gucci Mane in tomorrow night’s event, however Verzuz announced a “shuffle” due to the newly announced legendary match up, with Gucci Mane and arch nemesis Jeezy. Verzuz did share that they were working on a shuffle, due to popular demand, however they have not confirmed T.I. and Lil Wayne just yet. I think we need to wait until Thursday night happens, before we move on to what is next. Let’s just hope that this news is real, and that Lil Wayne will be home and able to attend.
