Lucci Lockdown
1.13.21
Just a month ago, YFN Lucci put out a new album Wish Me Well 3, with multiple hit singles, including Wet featuring Mulatto. After plenty to celebrate, he is facing some serious legal issues, as he is currently wanted for connection to a fatal shooting incident. It is quite unfortunate, but 2021 does not seem to be improving for many, just yet.
The Atlanta Police Department has offered money to those whom can help them locate YFN Lucci. Though just announced last night, it is reported that in early December, Lucci and two of his friends were involved in a shoot out, that left one person dead, and the other severely wounded. The two others that were involved in the shoot out have already been arrested. All three are being charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participating in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during a felony.
What is so crazy about this is, this is not the first time Lucci has been involved in gun shot incidents. It also appears that they all happen in the middle of the day. During this incident, police were called to the scene to find the fatal victim, around 5 PM on this given night. There were also two additional incidents, one last year, and one the year prior, where Lucci seemed to be the target of fire, but was ultimately missed. It could bring up the thought that these people are all connected, and there is a line of problems amongst the crews, but not much more is noted at this time.
Lucci seemed to have been trending positive in recent times. His latest album was a success, he was shooting music videos, and him and his girlfriend Reginae Carter were seemingly doing well. The night prior to us finding out about Lucci’s want for arrest, Reginae’s good friend, Deyjah Harris, posted a tweet stating that “Reginae deserves nothing but the best.” At the time, we could only imagine that something had went down in their relationship, however, I do not think any of us would have anticipated this.
I really love YFN Lucci’s sound. From Keys to the Streets and beyond, I was always hoping he’d make more music, be better, and make some more moves or noise in the music industry. We tend to say free our favorite artists, but if he continues to hide, and is later found guilty, this will not be good.
