Pooh Shiesty’s Case Updates
10.11.21
Rapper Pooh Shiesty had been popping off in the hip-hop scene. From his new deal with Gucci Mane’s 1017, and numerous hit records to his Lil Durk feature, Back in Blood, or his SpotemGottem Remix on Beat Box 2. Unfortunately, the success has come to a harsh halt, after Pooh Shiesty turned himself in to authorities on June 8th, and has been behind bars ever since. Finally, we are hearing some rumblings of what’s been going on.
The last incident involving Pooh Shiesty and the police, was when Shiesty allegedly let off a firearm in a club, when a security guard had slapped money out of his back pocket. While automatically going for a weapon in an enclosed place is an extreme first move, but Shiesty’s team was sure this was a self-defense mechanism, and he’d be home soon. However, the $10,000 bail presented by one judge was denied by another, and Shiesty has not been home since.
If you do recall, Pooh Shiesty had been involved in another incident prior, in October 2020. This incident included a robbery, and did leave someone dead. At the time, it was reported that Shiesty had cleared himself from the incident, but the judges are pulling all info that leads us to believe this may have never been the case. During the time of the crime scene, a Louis Vuitton bag full of money was confiscated, and now the investigators are matching up the serial numbers on the dollar bills to photos found on Pooh Shiesty’s Instagram page.
On Friday, DJ Akademiks shared an update on his Instagram Page from the Rolling Stones, suggesting that Pooh Shiesty could face life in prison. A trial for a four-count federal indictment is scheduled to begin on October 25.
However, just as Pooh Shiesty’s team has been confident of his innocence this entire time, so remains his friends and teammates. Big30 is another hip-hop artist, and life long friend of Pooh Shiesty. They each call each other their favorite rappers, and have plenty of tracks together. Big30 has shared a bit of his thoughts over the past weekend. He shared an image of himself and Pooh Shiesty, saying he misses his best friend. He also shared some tweets suggesting that he does not know what will go down in court, but he sure will not be spending life in prison. In addition, he shared a fans retweet who suggests that life is a bit steep given Pooh Shiesty’s length of involvement in each of the incidents at hand.
Big30 dropped his latest project on September 2nd, including a track titled Free Shiest Life, where he used some Pooh Shiesty audio for the outro. Sounds like the family wants him home, but the reality is still very doubtful.
