Kanye West

Kanye West has yet again announced his plans to run for office. As crazy as this may sound, Donald Trump was a reality television star prior to becoming president. West has seemingly a great relationship with Trump, and his wife has been vocal about taking classes to become a lawyer. Some may say it is too late in the game to run for the President of 2020, however I would not put it past Kanye.

Kayne West announced he was running for office, a new album, building a mansion in Wyoming, dropping a couple of new songs, and a bipolar episode all within the matter of days. However, a man of art if a man of obscurity. Though the rules say that it may be too late for Ye to run for President of 2020 in a number of states, no one is letting this statement go lightly.

Elon Musk, CEO of Space X, as well as Masika Kalysha, Love and Hip-Hop actress, have both stated that Kayne has their full support, only to then later retract their statements. Tiffany Haddish announces her running for office as well, hysterical comedian joke. Tons of people tend to claim it is too late and he should not be taken seriously. However, if we are being realistic, we cannot put anything past this family, and this generation of voters. Through all of the haters and nay-sayers, Chance the Rapper has vocally chosen to stand behind his Chicago pioneer.

Kanye West has announced his thoughts on our current President, and how he would alter some things if he got the chance to be our next President. Though we’ve seen him take excited photos with Donald Trump, Kanye has made the statement that he no longer stands with Trump. He wants to run independently, not a Democrat nor a Republican. We learn he was infected with COVID-19 earlier this year, and survived. Though, he is anti-vaccine, and anti-abortion. He has not once ever voted for a Presidential election, because he did not believe it would make a difference. This is something which has greatly changed the minds of some of his previous supporters.

However, Chance the Rapper stands by Ye, and asks how Joe Biden would be any better. Now, I do not want to get too into politics here, but Chance’s Twitter rant is quite lengthy, describing the importance of our new President enforcing the Black Lives Matter movement, fixing the prison ethics, legal system and overall black liberation. Perhaps it is the Chicago in their blood, or the fact that Chance thinks to make a change in America, we need to stay within the race, but either way he is challenging America to deeply play the pros and cons to each candidate of this year’s Presidential election.

Kanye West can be remembered from his sentence claiming George Bush does not care about black people, when he ran for office and became the President of the United States. So, some may think that him taking the Presidential seat should lead America into a more equality place than we previously are viewing it.

While it is a bit late in the game, some may think Kanye is crazy, while others may think their decision has been made a whole lot easier now that they have someone else to vote for. We will have to see where Kayne’s statements take him as far as the main election, but if he does succeed, who will you vote for?
