Welcome to Death Row

Plies was once the king of hip-hop love songs. From Shawty, to Hypnotized, to Bust it Baby II, and Please Excuse My Hands, Plies was really the IT guy in this category. It has been over a decade since these hit records, but yet they still hold value today. However, Plies is not done just yet, and has recently dropped a brand new single, Welcome to Death Row.
Aside from Plies’ love song discography, he also has some true hip-hop jams, like Plenty Money and Becky. This new single has somewhat of a love song intention, but sounds a bit more hip-hop, rather than singing from Plies. The context of the title, Welcome to Death Row, meaning that once his girl is his girl, she is his til the end of time, and vice versa.
The concept overall is a sweet intention with vulgar execution. Plies has always been one for using the highest level of profanity, and does so hear with the meaning of the song, and literally including contracts in the music video, of him and his girlfriend singing papers that they will be each other’s, til death.
This song is extremely on brand for Plies to make a comeback too. But, are we here for the comeback, or should he hang up the towel?
