I feel like the Baby Yoda sneaker collaboration is something we have all been waiting years for at this point. This however, is quite the interesting play take on that concept. Adidas has had an ongoing partnership with StarWars, and thus has created a Stan Smith “Yoda” color way. The shoe consists of a classic white leather upper, with gold foil text embossed that states “There is No Try.” Yoda appears on the back heel tab. It is an olive green color, with embossed movements of the leather to create the face of Yoda. As the heel tab rounds out the heel to each side, they used the side flaps to resemble his years.

In my opinion, the shoe is a bit comedic, in the way that they thought they would just make it look like Yoda was always in a part of their shoe. However, I think this shoe is a bit off for the consumer. If you like Stan Smith but you do not like Yoda or Star Wars, you are not going to wear this. If you love Yoda and Star Wars, you may not think this is enough. Oh, and why would this not drop yesterday on national “May the 4th be with you” day!? This is just obscured.
