Some shoes are really saved or ruined by their color ways. I definitely don’t go running for fun, so Asics isn’t typically first on my mind. However, when I saw the “White/Mint Tint” GEL-KAYANO 5 360, I fell in love. The perfect white sneaker you can wear with any outfit. You could even make it stand out more by wearing a contrasting color sock, as there is a small mesh section where color can peer through.

I’m not super into the other color ways of the release. These looks to me like the shoes old ladies wear with dresses and they think they’re being fashionable. I can see the Black/Safety Yellow color way attempting to become a thing, like the Nike P-6000 tried a few years ago, but it won’t stick.

The second style that released is the GEL-NANDI 360. The “Unity” color-way, which is shown last in the carousal above, is fantastic. The mesh see-through piece of the upper is missing, but replaced with a beautiful, knitted, multi-colored material. This is encased by a tan leather upper, to level out the shockingness of the color way. I think the green on the sole of the shoe is a nice way to pull out some of the color beneath in the leather. Overall, it is an interesting take on the classics ASICS style, and I think it looks super great.
