This is probably the craziest, dopest thing I have ever seen. From the side I am sure everyone loves it, but the toe box might wig a few people out. The Road Warrior is a new Nike silhouette that screams innovation, and takes inspiration across a variety of business units across the brand.
The Road Warrior uses Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next% technology, designed for running marathons. It also uses the energy return of the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT. The heel which almost looks like a detached springboard, takes inspiration from Nike Shox, but twists it today to have a much more dramatic look.
I was not aware of the split toe box being a technical trait, but it is actually tradition in Japanese contraction and road work boots. It makes sense, as it should give the sense of being comfortable, or barefoot.
The upper looks like a sweater material encased in wax. The lacing system looks like zip ties. The sole looks like a bunch of puzzle pieces glued to a spring board. This sneaker is absolutely amazing. If you cop this shoe, I do not see you needing another shoe ever again.
