Well, word is Mitchell’s nickname growing up was “Spida,” so that is where the initial connection came from. The green colors are supposed to signify hues from “spidey senses.” Maybe this makes sense if you are a big Spider Man fan. The different patterns and shapes, along with the pow and boom font on the bottom of the sole allude to a comic book theme. The back of the heel also has a line-drawn spider logo.
