Roswell Rayguns have been a part of Nike’s sneaker culture since 2002. They put out a commercial ad where Roswell Rayguns owned his own basketball team, whom were not very good, until they all strapped up their Nike Dunks that just had something special about them. This is all fictional, of course, but who does not love a story to tell with their sneakers. Nike has done a few Rayguns releases in the past, and now are dropping a whole collection of Rayguns inspired kicks.

The three Nike kicks that will be dropping include an Air Force, an Air Raid, and a Blazer Mid. They each include orange details, a small Roswell Rayguns logo in various places, Raygun graphic on the insole, and other unique design elements. The Air Force 1 is relatively classic. A mostly white upper, with a shimmery orange textile on the heel piece. This is where the Rayguns basketball logo lives, and is complimented by a yellow heel tab and exposed, thick stitching line around the swoosh. I actually love the Air Raid, because of the straps across each side, and the detailing on the heel that reads “For Outdoor Use Only.” Finally, the Blazer Mid is loads of fun with gold stitching, a gold sequence swoosh on the outer mid-panel, and a green leather swoosh on the inner mid-panel.

Overall, you can see that these styles currently are not reselling for much, but such a great collection to have a shoe with a backstory. I’m loving what they did with these.
