Beyoncé Break My Soul 6.21.22

Beyoncé is breaking through this summer with brand new music. Her next album, Renaissance, will be Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, and is due to release July 29th this year. Last night, she dropped off the first single from the album which is sure to have the BeeHive on their feet right up until the rest of the album is available.

The first single off of this upcoming album is Break My Soul. Releasing just at midnight, the official track on YouTube has already seen over 1.75M views at just 8AM EST. Included in the track is a guest appearance from Big Freedia, who sings the intro, post-chorus and outro throughout the track.

This song definitely brings the vibes of dance floor, festival season, and dashing through summer. The beat is uptempo, the lyrical message is empowering, and at least for the BeeHive, this should be a solid summer track for Beyoncé fans. There is a bit of a breakdown for B where we get a few bars, but still a positive, powerful message throughout.

I think this is the right track for Bey to use to launch her upcoming album. It is something a bit different, but done very well from the Queen. Are you excited for this new Beyoncé album? What features would you like to see?
