While it seems like a lot is going on with legal issues in the lives of hip-hop artists, a surprising turn stems from an old case, around the death of XXX Tentacion. Drake, amongst others, has been named a witness in the case of the murder of X.

It was 2018 when XXX Tentacion was reportedly murdered while leaving a motorcycle shop. While there has been multiple arrests made in the case, there has been a recent addition of celebrities added to the potential witness list in the case, by the defendant’s lawyer. Some of the industry-named-witnesses include incarcerated Toronto rapper Top5, Joe Budden, 600 Breezy, 6ix9ine, Quavo, Offset, Takeoff, Tankhead666, Ski Mask The Slump God and most notably, Drake.

This may seem extremely outlandish and random. It appears that the defendants lawyer is using XXX Tentcaion’s previous “rap beefs” to fog the theory that his client is guilty. At one point in time, X had claimed that Drake stole his flow, then shared an Instagram Story saying that if someone were to kill him, that it would be Drake.

None of these artists are currently booked to testify, and I would not be surprised if it stayed that way. However, you never know. This will be an interesting one to see unfold.
