Smokepurpp and Lil Pump are best friends with crazy hair and face tattoos. They also make a distinct style of hip-hop music, calling their crew ‘Gucci Gang.’ At midnight this morning, they released a new song and visual ‘Off My Chest.’ During the video, the two are seen as employees at a 9-5 desk job. They’re working in cubicles, smoking on the job, and basically fighting all of their employees. Smokepurpp has a sweater cardigan on, his outfit is decent. Lil Pump is wearing a cream button-up shirt, silver metallic jeans, and his tie is loose with the back piece hanging lower than the front. An absolute disgrace.

If you like the two, you’ll probably enjoy the song. It is a beat that will entice you to participate in all those young kid crazy dances to that you see on Tik Tok. I’d say those are the kids that enjoy these guys, so they’re keeping their fans entertained. But does the Gucci Gang really even take their work seriously? Lil Pump said that he is charging $55 for a feature, jokes about taking drugs and having a seizure, and spends the rest of his verse just clowning on others. These are not bars, nor are the funny, by anyone that is aware of where the industry has taken itself to over the years.

On the other hand, I do think that Smokepurpp is musically talented, and maybe taking this a bit more seriously. However, when you surround yourself with these kind of people and feed into their games, you are then completely represented in the same way. Less than a week ago, Smokepurpp posted a video saying he felt that he was the most hated rapper in hip-hop. I feel like, maybe if he was more consistently dropping music and publicly causing outrageous, but he is not. If this is what he is going for, that is too bad. Removing 6ix9ine from the situation, I would actually throw the most hated on rapper back onto Lil Pump. He pulled that stunt where he shaved his eyebrows and made a mockery out of rock and roll. He is really defying all things hip-hop by the way he acts and presents himself, while also claiming he is better than everyone else. This is the energy of the most hated person in the hip-hop game. Smokepurpp had a few interesting punch lines in the song, and overall, he is voice does sound cool. Unfortunately, hanging out with the wrong people and participating in activities will lead you down the wrong path.

It has been a while since we got a hit from the duo. I’m sure their fans will go crazy over it, but should’t reach any crazy numbers or attention. We have other things on our minds, like the new Future dropping tomorrow.
