Longevity. Adapting. Listening. Learning. Reacting. Continuing. Consistency. These things, they are all part of the game, right? There are few artists whom have able to make a successful career for themselves, and remain relevance and excitement about two decades later. Especially, when the artist has tried several other business ventures in between. 50 Cent has just proven to the world, and it appears himself as well, that he has still got it, to create a massive hit record.

At one point in time, 50 Cent was looked at one of the best rappers, the hottest in the game. Making hits on his own, with Eminem, or with G-Unit, it just seemed like everything went over quite well. There were certainly some low moments. From the G-Unit breakup, the flop of Vitamin Water, and I guess we cannot forget that this man survived nine bullet wounds. However, 50 Cent never let these things stop his hustle and grind, and they are seemingly still paying off today.

On top of the multiple brand deals 50 Cent shares a passion for, he show POWER has been a cultural connector for consumers and fans to debate and discuss what is really going down in the series. After multiple seasons of success, 50 Cent is working on an additional branch of the series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

It just would not make sense if 50 Cent was working on all these projects, and did not create the theme song. At the very end of 2020, 50 Cent dropped the Raising Kanan theme song, Part of the Game, featuring NLE Choppa and Rileyy Lanez. 50 Cent just shared on his Instagram page that Part of the Game is the number one most added song to urban radio, which he very proud of.

I would say this is not song of the year or anything, but it is a really great song to listen to when going for a cruise ride, or chilling at home. The vibe and flow 50 Cent uses feels super on point to the more melody hits he put out back in the early 2000s on Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre. At the same time, he taps into new popular talent NLE Choppa, and someone that most people may have never even heard of before. NLE has been creating hits with many others than came before him, from Migos, to Nicki Minaj and even Snoop Dogg. So, I see where 50 Cent was going with this, and they sound pretty good on the track together. It will be interesting to see where the relationship with Riley goes, since it appears 50 Cent has enjoyed being the older, or mentoring to younger and upcoming artists (such as Pop Smoke and dare I saw, Tekashi 6ix9ine).

50 Cent has shared that he remains in touch to this day closely with Eminem, who has texted him just to commend him for certain bars he would put on a song. Now, he is receiving credit by a much larger crowd. There was definitely a questionable moment in 50 Cent’s music career a few years back, but I love the flow he is currently on. Should he continue to work more consistently on his music career, I would be excited to see what a new album sounds like from 50 Cent.
