Saweetie for Bazaar Magazine

Female hip-hop artists have been tearing up the game, and we have been waiting on an album from Saweetie for a while now. Saweetie has a handful of massive hit singles, like Tap In, Best Friend, and My Type, but we are waiting on her debut studio album. While originally scheduled to drop June 25, 2021, Saweetie put the album on hold to perfect a few more things. A new Tweet, however, has us on the edge of our seats, hoping it will be tomorrow.

Saweetie definitely had a name for herself way prior to her relationship with Quavo from Migos, but this certainly jump started a bit of extra attention. Once the world really got to see Saweetie and her contagious energy, she really could not be beat. After her break up, she has not slowed down one bit, from continuing with her music and scoring plenty other deals like multiple magazine colors and brand endorsement deals. Most recently she shared a post for her Quay Australia sunglasses promotion, and scored herself the cover of Bazaar Magazine.

When it comes to the music, Saweetie released an EP, Pretty Summer Playlist on April 16, 2021. This project was supposed to be some sort of preview or introduction into her upcoming debut album. A few months have gone by since the anticipated release, but fans are now getting excited, hoping that the day is here. The interests comes from a Tweet that Saweetie has shared, and reposted on Instagram, saying that she has a secret to share with us today.

The Tweet came Wednesday night after 9PM, so at some point this evening, I am sure we will have some news from Saweetie for what the announcement could be. Typically, these things always mean new music on the way, so we are hopeful that the debut album, Pretty Bitch Music, is finally going to be released. If not tomorrow, hopefully we at least have an updated release date.

However, it really could be anything, and the Internet is toying with a few additional ideas as well. I definitely do not think it is a pregnancy announcement, because I do not think she would preview that in this way. Though, some people are thinking because of the emojis and her referring to herself as ‘big mama’ that this may be the case. Again, I do not think this is the case, but if it were to be true, I’m picking Jack Harlow over Quavo as Baby Daddy.

Some others are also questioning if this could be Saweetie’s McDonald’s collaboration announcement. Travis Scott’s McDonald’s deal was a huge announcement, with tons of merchandise that sold product, and sold burgers. McDonald’s has reported on them doing similar deals with a number of large name brand ambassadors, so perhaps Saweetie is up next. Saweetie is super sharing and expressive about her love for food, so many pinned ‘big mama’ and the tongue emoji as a potential tie into to something in relation to food.

With so many great opportunities knocking down Saweetie’s doors, we will really have to wait for her to share what this big announcement could be. I for one, and hoping that is the new music, but I am excited to hear what it is, either way.

UPDATE!!! 7/29/21 12PM EST

Saweetie has finally shared her top secret, and those who guessed it was a McDonald’s collaboration was correct! On her Instagram page, Saweetie has shared her McDonald’s meal will launch on August 9th. The photo showcased some french fries and ketchup lined-up to look like a snowflake, the infamously famous emoji of the Icy Girl.

McDonald’s will be serving Saweetie’s McDonald’s Specials in fifty select markets, adn say the meals will be served in special packaging inspired by Saweetie’s icy style. We have seen Saweetie on Hott Ones, we have seen her eat oysters in her pool, she loves her food, and seems like she may eat just about anything. Some of the pictures released seem like these meals will be something quite different than you typical McDonald’s Quarter Pounder order.
