Tekashi 6ix9ine, Nicki Minaj

Several weeks ago, Tekashi 6ix9ine announced he has another single coming out, which included an undisclosed feature. Many were left wondering, who would do a song with 6ix9ine now? After being labeled as a snitch, ratting out a multitude of artists in his own industry and continuing to troll on others where his opinion does not belong, doing business at this point in time with Tekashi 6ix9ine is not a great look, especially to old-school hip-hop artists and fans. There were rumors going around that the feature could be Nicki Minaj. But would she stoop to this level? It appears so.

After weeks of pushing back the track and blaming it on various different reasons across the world, we have our answers. Nicki Minaj posted first, letting fans know that she will be the feature on Tekashi 6ix9ine’s new song ‘Trollz.’ The title finds itself quite fitting. As 6ix9ine spends most of his time trolling his haters, Nicki spends a great amount of time doing the same, in a more teasing or sarcastic type of way. 6ix9ine posted after Nicki, captioning “nObOdY gOiN To WoRk wiTH HiM No mOrE 🥴”

I took my time scrolling through Nicki’s comments to get the overall sentiment. The top half of the comments were shockingly supportive. These comments come from your typical “Barbie Gang” that worship Nicki Minaj and believe that she can do no wrong. As I’m thinking to myself, are these people serious? At one point do we take responsibility and show people we do not agree with certain behaviors? This is where the negativity comes in. People are shaming her, citing their respect has gone away, and most of all, asking the question, why?

I spoke about this previously on the blog once the rumors leaked. I do believe that Nicki Minaj thinks that she is the best female hip-hop artist to ever live, and I do believe that because of this, she also feels like she can do whatever she wants. Additionally, I believe she thinks that this track will go to number one, and she would like to say she has back to back hit singles come in at number one on the Hot Billboard 100. Nicki recently came in at number one with Doja Cat on their track ‘Say So.’ The following week, Tekashi came in third for ‘Gooba,’ though he strongly believes he should have been number one.

Nicki Minaj is not wrong, for assuming she will come out of this situation with a bag. Tekashi has big fans still, and of course, Nicki does as well. This song will get a ridiculous amount of streams and will likely be a contender for a number one spot on the Billboard charts. But what does the rest of the industry think of her now?

Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to say that she had no need to explain herself or ask for anyone’s opinions. Just as we had suspected. Interestingly enough, when she saw Instagram Page ‘Rap’ quote her tweet, she called this cap and said it was an old Tweet. I wish I could share with you all screen shots, but it appears Nicki and Rap both took down these posts. I sense someone using her threatening Twitter fingers. We all know that only happens when someone is guilty.

Really, I am just trying to figure out by these photos if Nicki Minaj is actually pregnant or not. A few weeks ago, a fan asked to see her baby bump, and she responded “Soon.” This very well could be a metaphor or a playful joke, as we had not heard from her in a while. But she is married, and has been talking about kids for some time. So is she pregnant? If this were too be true, she sure did choose an interesting outfit for the occasion. She is wearing a fur white bikini bathing suit. Though, she does cover up her stomach the best she can in the three images we have, I am not convinced she is pregnant.

If you are deciding whether or not to listen to the track one time just to hear what is sounds like, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to bail out those whom were arrested from the protests. Joe Budden chimed in laughing at this, “a portion?” A portion could mean five dollars, and while I’m sure the two are not this stingy, Virgil did only pledge fifty.
