Kayy Kilo calls herself the “First Lady” of Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment. She is a female hip-hop artist born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who now calls Atlanta home. While DaBaby is certainly having some issues with his former female hits partner, Megan Thee Stallion, he may just be acting so smooth as he already knew about her replacement.

The latest between DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion is, things got worse after Skat released. Megan instantly blocked DaBaby, and shared some tweets suggesting he supported her in private but not in public. Clearly, not okay that the song was released. DaBaby tried to explaining his side to the story, to which Megan’s boyfriend Pardi got involved, and it was all downhill from there. Now, they have each unfollowed each other, and it may just be the end of an era.

However, when one door closes, another is opened. Hip-hop is truly the female’s game to take, and DaBaby is taking his chances on a new artist, Kayy Kilo. Kilo has three singles since signing with Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment; Bend It, In My Bag, and Ice. Today, she dropped her latest single titled Slow Down.

While the music video should be premiering later today, it is bound to go off. A snippet from the video shares Kayy Kilo and a number of other females in an interview style video describing things that they do to make their men cry. They really went for the jugular, talking about running over dogs, pushing over grandmothers, taking out the laces from a sneakerheads shoes, the list goes on. DaBaby shared the video to his page in support of his artist, which has already reached over 1.7 million views. This is already slightly higher than Kayy Kilo’s Bend It music video on YouTube, so I think fans will be excited to see what this one is about.

Though DaBaby is not in the song per-say, he is supporting it as if he were. After listening to the song on iTunes, I do feel like he would be able to hop on the Remix if the Premier goes well and he wants to amplify his artists’ platform. While scrolling through YouTube recommendations, it does look like the two may possibly have an unreleased track recorded. The snippet shows Kayy Kilo and Stunna 4 Vegas on Instagram Live dancing and singing to the snippet. DaBaby’s verse is short at the beginning, then Kayy Kilo takes over.

Kayy definitely has the energy and the delivery of any other female rapper that is on top of their game right now. While DaBaby continues to release his own music, I love this new female artist release for him at this moment, while he deals with the drama of others. We all knew Megan would put him in the hott seat if the track were to ever release, but she even said it was an old recorded song, to which he should not be held accountable for. So far, I like the support DaBaby is showing to Kayy Kilo for her new track. It will be telling to see how much work he puts in with Kayy, and to watch where her career may take her.
