The Grand Finale 2021

12.8.21

Page Kennedy The Grand Finale 12.10.21

Page Kennedy will be releasing a new mixtape titled Straight Bars 4, on December 10th. The first track that has been released from the project, is said to be the closing track. By means of the track closing out the album, and honestly the year as a whole before we get heavily into the holidays, the track lives up to its name. That is, ‘The Grand Finale 2021.’

The track is just under ten minutes long, and consists of an additional eight artists, in addition to Page. The Game, Royce da 5'9, Ransom, Locksmith, KXNG Crooked, Grafh, 3D Na’Tee and Mysonne all have their own verses or dialogue throughout the project. Everyone here, extremely lyrical, and all left it all out on the table.

Crook seems to have the most favorable verse on the track, which I do think is well deserved. But the one who had me roaring and rewinding her verse over and over, is 3D Na’Tee. She said she was no Barbie, Cardi or Stallion, and does not rap over other men’s beats then put them on her album. Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion have both done their own versions of Biggie Smalls, Eazy-E, etc. I was never a big fan of these moves, so I found that to be hilarious. Someone not afraid to miss with those at the top of the top, do your thing Na’Tee.

The track is supposed to pay homage to Dr. Dre and D.O.C. Page Kennedy mentions that it was his goal to make the most lyrical posse track in history, by pulling together what he has dubbed “The Lyrical Avengers of Hip Hop” on one track.

The track can be listened to on YouTube and Spotify, until the mixtape releases this Friday.
