Moneybagg Yo Time Today Released 2.3.21

We are halfway through the week, and Moneybagg Yo had the time today. I love waking up to new music in the middle of the week, and this one brought on some extra curiosity. Moneybagg has been known to be a bit petty in his music, at least, when it comes to females, and the internet has been flooding with split rumors in regards to his current relationship with Ari Fletcher. Oh, you had the time today? Could this be, an Ari Fletcher diss track? Let’s listen.

Moneybagg Yo has began teasing something new, earlier this week. His last album, Time Served was released a year ago, and peaked at the 2nd position on Billboard Hip-Hop and R&B Charts. This could be the first hit from an upcoming album, since he posted a Tweet of Yo Gotti cosigning something big is on the way. But if an album is on the way, are we going to get woman problem Moneybagg, or the real street rap Moneybagg.

Relationship rumors are always present, but blew up over the weekend. Moneybagg tweeted about some tights, and his current girlfriend (as we know it), Ari Fletcher, went off on Twitter. She quote Tweeted his post, stating that he was single. She added that he broke her heart, and was depressed, along with a few other numbers that could be in relevance to a Moneybagg breakup.

Moneybagg actually dropped last Friday with Babyface Ray. I felt a bit awkward after Moneybagg said “every week me and my sneaky link be at the conference suite,” and then this all went down. But, he is in the industry, it could have just been a line that rhymed, since “sneaky link” seems to be a new popular term. But then, he posts a trailer with multiple women, and drops what he is calling “Time Today.”

Now, I played the song back a couple of times. I did not get much out of it. I think the song is more-so just talking trash about whoever. The track starts with “I just looked at my wrist, I got time today / F** it, I'm crossin' a line today” and with that, I was expecting Moneybagg to go off. But I think it was just a complete troll track.

If there are any nods at Ari in the song at all, it actually may be that he compliments her. Confirming that though he’s in the industry and females come with that, he is not entertaining any one but his lady. (yes, that is what I’m going to go with)

I'm lookin' like William but they ain't my girlfriends (Nah)
Might be ugly but my b** precious (Bad)
She ain't even sneeze but still I bless her (Achoo)

If you are as invested in me and trying to put the timeline together, you could say that maybe this recorded before the breakup / Ari Twitter blow out, and this does not confirm anything. Well, just yesterday Ari posted on her Instagram story that she would “tattoo his name on her so we all know whatsup.” So, that sounds something like, they are still together.

Looks like this was a fight that blew over, and both Ari and Moneybagg had the time today, to troll us all, over their lovely relationship. We will just have to see if Moneybagg keeps this same energy on whatever he is cooking up in the studio.
