T.I. What It’s Come To, 2021

A few weeks ago, T.I. released a new single, What It’s Come To. In the song, he suggestively states his innocence on all of the chaos that has been disturbing his life over the past number of months. Last night, he shared a music video to go along with the track. Not only were the visuals crazy, telling more of T.I.’s side of the story, but there was a deep message at the end. Allegedly, T.I. is dropping a new album soon, titled Kill The King, which will apparently, be his last album.

T.I. has been around making music for decades. He literally started making mixtapes back in 1996, and released his first studio album in 2001. The self proclaimed King of the South, King of Trap Musizk, Mount Rushmore of Atalanta Rap, has truly paved the way for different styles of music coming out of the south.

While still consistently adapting to the music industry and the times releasing new music, T.I. has his own podcast show, a family reality television series, and a number of other successful businesses. However, times have been pretty ugly, since a former family friend shared the news that T.I. held her at gunpoint, and made drug and sexual assault allegations against both T.I., and his wife, Tiny. Once this report came out, dozens of women wanted to share similar experiences, but all remain anonymous.

T.I. and Tiny have reportedly been under investigations for months, and have lost their family television show until further notice. While the hip-hop couple has asked for the accusers to come forward and reveal themselves, it has not worked thus far. Both remain as active on possible on socials, to share this will not break them down, but it is clear that this case is serious, and putting a hold a lot of aspects of their lives.

T.I. putting out this track was one thing. He let some steam off, and shared his side of his story through what he does best, music. Something though, must have happened since the track has been released, because now, TIP is coming for blood.

As the music video begins, we hear a voice over, asking for an apology. “Tell the truth about me, and I’m gone.” We know that the accuser, Sabrina Peterson, demanded a public apology last week from the couple, so we pretty much know this is a voice message that T.I. received, essentially black mailing him about everything that has been going on. On top of that, she demands her apology within seven days. The visuals showcase pictures, pins, and strings all over a board, kind of like when you are trying to find the suspect of a murder case. All lines lead to T.I. and Tiny’s photo. At one point, a women draws an X over Tiny’s face, leaving just TIP, to come for.

We see a number of girls in the video, where the “predator” texts each one of them, saying “want to get a bag and remain anonymous?”, to which they all went for. At the end, they even bring in a man who will fight against T.I., which has happened in their case most recently. T.I. is painting the picture that these characters are all claiming victim against him and his wife, with allegations that are completely false.

T.I. shares in the track that he has a heart of gold beneath the fame and fortune, and would never do these things. While he continues to claim his innocence, the situation remains very much in a bad place for his family.

The end of the video ends with a message “Kill The King, the last album, coming soon.” This certainly sounds as though T.I. is ready to put an end to his music career and life in the spot light. It’s came to these life threatening allegations, to make him want to calm down a bit and take things more seriously. It is clear he feels that these people are purposely trying to take him down and ruin his life. So, apparently we have one more album. T.I. and Tiny reportedly just purchased a new mansion in Atlanta, so it seems like they will take some time to themselves to recover from this horrible situation.

I have no idea how this battle will go, but one this is for sure, T.I. is a beast. I cannot wait for this album, and I hope that things do work out for him and his family, and that this will not actually be the last we see and hear from them.
