DaBaby’s Boxing Career in Question

DaBaby

DaBaby has done a lot as an artist. He has recently been called the Tupac Shakur of the current generation by some of hip-hops greats. He has been a consistent artist in terms of dropping new music, but also, has had his fair share of participating in acts to put his career in danger. The latest headline includes a bit of potential danger, but mostly just question, confusion, and laughter.

This past Friday, there was a boxing match in Dubai, specifically, Social KnockOut 2, including boxers known for their presence on social media. Even though the Internet basically cancelled DaBaby for his comments at Rolling Loud, DaBaby was in the middle at the event, and even escorted Rashid "Money Kicks" Belhasa to the ring during his entrance moment.

What is getting the internet super wound up, is DaBaby crashing the ring, in a way I certainly was not expecting. After being announced the winner, Money Kicks was standing in the ring, humbly celebrating his victory. All of a sudden, you see DaBaby go to jump over the ropes, get tripped up and fall, bounce right back up, quickly tap Money Kicks on the shoulder, and run away.

His entrance could have been planned, but certainly was not executed to plan. For someone you would typically think you do not want to see in the ring, you may be second guessing that after seeing the comical attempt to hop into the ring. You can find the video clip all over the internet, and of course on The Shade Room and from DJ Akademiks’ Instagram.

This does bring DaBaby back to top of headlines, for a reason other than negative comments. I am sure he is working on new music, but has also been doing tons of promoting for his new female artist, Kayy Kilo.
