le FLEUR* and Converse: June 9th

Tyler, the Creator is a genius and artist, in more ways than one. From his multiple award winning albums, to his successful clothing and accessory brand. Maybe most importantly, he track record to absolutely never fail to make us laugh. All of things come together as one as he gears up to release his new sneaker, another le FLEUR* x Converse collaboration, on June 9th.

Yesterday, Tyler, the Creator shared a trailer on his Instagram, previewing the upcoming sneaker release. The trailer is hysterical, as you could assume. Two teens bring a chef on an island a fish net filled with sneakers. The chef is fuming in rage, wondering what on earth he is going to make with some sneakers, likely hoping for fresh fish or crab, like the side of his hut states. As the chef is cursing up a storm, he cooks the shoe laces, soles of the sneakers, and brings out the new le FLEUR* x Converse sneaker on a plater for his restaurant guest. The guest takes a bite, stands up and applauds, as the video fades out with the zoomed in frame close up and personal to the chefs face, smiling, and sweating.

No, this video does not make any sense at all. But what else would you expect from this crew? It is quite funny, is sure to grab your attention, and includes one super solid frame highlight what the shoe is that we can expect from Tyler and his friends over at Converse. In Tyler’s caption of the video post, he penned the caption with “🎥: Tyler Okonma” This is Tyler’s birth name, so it looks like he was the one who directly filmed this video. Just add this to another of things that Tyler is exceptionally skilled at.

The sneakers will be available on June 9th at 10AM for $110. You can purchase them on the Converse website, and likely the Golf le FLEUR website, which is also currently advertising the release. There will be two colors available, the one from the video, Oil Green/Bison/Winter White, which is a brown and dark green, then a second, Curry/Copper Tan/Winter White which features different shades of orange. It appears the tongues of the sneakers have a sushi graphic, which could be the inspiration for the video that they’ve created, along with wavy textile pieces, which could represent the ocean.

No matter the crazy details and unique colorways, these are super clean and will be a great sneaker to add to your rotation for this summer.
