Styling A Classic Leather

7.23.20

Obviously, sneakers are a staple and what makes an outfit the best it can be, in my opinion. Most of the sneakers I’ve featured so far are crazy and difficult to style, which is why I started doing these. Still, sometimes you just want to throw on a classic. Something old school, clean, but never fresher. The cool thing about these is, your options are absolutely endless.

The PUMA Ralph Sampson is the definition of an OG. Ralph was drafted number one overall in 1983, and now he has a lifetime deal with PUMA. Not only did they remake the sneakers Ralph hooped in, but they made ones we can wear to style on the daily. Not that you need my help on this one, but here are some super fun ways to style the PUMA Ralph Sampson Low, a true spring classic!

Big Baller Alert

I found this dazzle material Lakers outfit from Mitchell & Ness and I am absolutely obsessed. The top actually is super fitted, and the shorts are the perfect length. When you think you could not possibly get more bummy, you’re actually killing it. The color is perfect for the sneakers, and the tank gives you plenty of space to accessorize with bracelets, or a scrunchie to keep the cozy look happening. This mini backpack finishes off the look, the cutest sporty little thing. I’ve worn this look to wine nights, shopping, and would definitely take it anywhere you can be chill, but photographed for fit pics.

Blossoming

The perfect jumpsuit for these sneakers. This is definitely something many would just wear with heels a silver necklace and a high ponytail. But what if you plan on walking a lot, standing, or you want to flex just a bit more with your fit? The floral print matches perfectly with the sneakers, and the pant leg is the perfect fit to just slightly show off your kicks. I would wear this look to a winery, boat cruise, and obviously all the brunches in the world.

Classy Classics

This cheetah print dress is short and flowy. It can definitely be dressed up or down based on how you accessorize. The square neck and bow tie on the side make this dress totally suitable for any dinner or day date. With an overall print, you will want to keep the sneakers classic, and these Ralph’s do just the thing. The base of the dress is light, so I’d keep the sneakers light, too.

Jumping For Joy

Jumpsuits are life and this one is amazing. The top has a button front and low back, cinched with a tie belt. Fitted, but comfortable, the top greatly expands into an extra-wide straight leg pant. The burnt orange color feels right with the white and tan sneaker. Most would probably think to wear a nice sandal with this, but if you want to comfortable, you have got to go with the classic sneaker.

Strap Up

Light on light is something I will never do, but something about medium on medium feels so good. This medium wash denim is just dark enough to right in between this hunter green lacey crop and the classic leather sneaker. I would definitely rock this look to the bar during the day, a brewery or a fun lunch. To make it a bit more causal, but still super extra, this FENTY hat does just the trick.

Outta Here!

Honestly one of my favorite looks and though, the most simple. Biker shorts are my favorite thing with a long sleeve, big t-shirt. The graphics make it fun to accessorize, like the long socks, scrunchie and mini backpack. The colors go really well with the slight hint of peach in the sneakers. Long socks and Ralph Sampson sneakers just feel right so I think that really pulls this cute and casual look together.
