Styling the Air Jordan 4 for Females

4.23.20

Sneakers are becoming more the norm in women’s fashion, but some may still be a bit worried to try it. Some silhouettes may claim they make their legs look chunky, maybe they look like they’re too big or too small, or perhaps you just do not know what to wear with them. I personally think certain types of sneakers are easier for women to style than others, but if you believe in yourself, you can rock them all.

My favorite sneaker to wear is a chunky trainer, or a more slim silhouette. Those you can easily dress up with whatever you want. I have a bit of a harder time with basketball sneakers. I grew up wearing Jordan Brand on my feet always, but I now sometimes feel that they are too manly for me to wear in my normal girl attire. Perhaps it is noise or stereotype around it, I’m not sure. But they’re still my favorite sneakers, and I always manage to find a way to pull it off.

If you’re having a similar problem with your wardrobe, I’ve found five different levels how to dress up your Air Jordan 4, that will make everyone wish they’d done it themselves!

Minimal Explosion

A white tee with some black pants, you cannot go wrong. However, when you have a sneaker inspired by Spike Lee’s ‘Do the Right Thing’, you need to put a little spice in your life. Throw on a slim-fit white tee, and tuck it into the pant. These parachute pants are free flowing and baggy, perfect for the squat pose for the Insta pic. Accessorize with a chunky crystal chain necklace, and a boxy handbag to accent the bagginess of the pant.

The Subtle Accent

Jumpsuits are my go to in any situation. The material of this jumpsuit is almost khaki-like. I like the way it goes with the sneakers as the only black part are the laces. For us short people, the ankles are cinched so you can pull them up and show off your kicks. Throw on the bomber jacket if it’s a bit chilly, to accent the green on the top and bottom. Finally, a classic black clutch to keep the outfit neutral.

A Little Bit Spicy Now

If celebrities can wear sneakers on the Red Carpet, you can wear sneakers to dinner, to club, to where ever you damn-well please. These tailored pants have gold mental accents up the sides, and slits at the ankles for the kicks to come through. Top it off with a high-neck lace and mesh bralette to really turn some heads. Throw over you color accent bomber jacket to cover up, but not too much.

Can’t Tell Me Nothing

When the bars are open again, here is my next look. A high-waisted jean, with a cute lacy bralette. The top pulls out the green in the sneakers quiet well. The jeans are cropped just high enough for you to see the whole color scheme throughout your look. As if you didn’t look bad ass enough wearing the cutest outfit with a dope pair of Jordans, toss on your leather jacket and grab a black clutch. Black and green are my absolute favorite colors and this one is a killer.

Sneakers are Cute

Probably the most least expected - but my absolute favorite. I wear dresses and one pieces so I do not have to put multiple pieces of clothing together. You know, being comfortable. What footwear is more comfortable than sneakers? There isn’t one. Now, I am quite cautious about the sneakers I pair with my dresses, but there could not be a more perfect hit here. The accents in the cage piece of the upper are green, red and yellow, which match perfect with the floral print on the dress. The light blue on the dress also accents the gray on the sole nicely. The color in the sneakers are minimal, but just enough where this pairing works out great. If you’re looking for the cutest look ever, that no one will expect, but everyone will love- look no further.
