Styling the Nike Air Max 90 LX

3.26.21

In honor of Air Max Day 2021, of course I had to bring out my most fun and unique pair of Air Max sneakers. The Air Max 90 LX is the perfect sneaker to bring out for the coming of spring. There are so many fun colors, different patterns and textiles, and they truly scream spring with the flower-smiley-face graphic printed on the tongue and insole.

These kicks are definitely loud and colorful. Typically, those styles may be difficult to match. With these, I honestly wanted to do ten more looks because there is just so much you can do with them! With all the different colors and textiles, you can play off of any of those things to maximize your favorite part of the shoe. Basically, anything goes!

Lace Up For Spring

From the For The SoUle shop this week, I paired the sneakers of the week with our For The SoUle “Lace Up Tee.” Personally this is my favorite graphic design, and of course the gold plays nicely with the yellow pops of color in the sneakers. Blue and yellow together are a great pair, so I used that as my main colorway for the top, with the cropped teddy coat. Finally, the sneakers do include some light-washed denim, so I paired these with some distressed, straight-leg denim.

Slide Into Something Sweet

The colors on these kicks are definitely feminine and soft. If you are just lounging around the house, or perhaps having spa day, why not pair with your favorite cozy matching set, and a silk robe that further defines your queen status. This is just one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe even though it can only be owner in certain places. If you are going out, this set actually comes with a cape-cardigan, which you can always substitute for. Who doesn’t love a 3-piece matching set?!

Lavender Blossom

This lavender set is to die for, and perfect for spring. It is nice out, but you still need a bit of warmth, so cozy up with your sweater-knit tank and cardigan combo. I thought this color paired really well with the denim color from the sneakers, and overall evens out the warm and bright colors of the kicks. I paired these with a relaxed fit short, to be super trendy, yet comfortable, for any spring activities.

Rhude Boyz

So, I did fall into the trend of bucket hats. I love them. I would say, if you like the look, but do not think it suits you, TRY IT! I felt the same way. You never know until you try. This hat is 3M so here is your fit-pic look of the week. Definitely pair this with black denim, and a top of your choice. I thought I would spice it up with this rosey button up number, that is cute and spring-like, just like the sneakers.

Put That Thing In Sport

Your graphic tees are really where you can keep your look subtle, while incorporating the colors of the kicks. A majorly white top, but with colors in the graphics or text that draw you to the colors in the sneakers. I wear this graphic tee under this long tank dress. The light blue pairs well with the denim on the kicks, and the graphics peer through the neckline, and the sleeves. It minimizes the business, simplifies the dress look, and is super cozy and trendy. Accessorize with some jewelry and your favorite bag, and you are ready to take on the day.

Just Do It

If your sneakers were not a statement piece enough, here is the greatest jacket ever made. The leather on the toe-box is a cracked leather lime green, which is perfect for this super soft and cozy jacket. I would through this over a basic black jumpsuit, or a black denim and top. Keep this piece super simple, and let the outwear plus the kicks do all the talking. If looks could kill.
