21 Savage Freaknik Party

21 Savage at Freaknik Birthday 2021

21 Savage just celebrated his 29th birthday, and threw a massive themed party to celebrate. This has recently become a tradition. The 2019 birthday was a roller skating themed bash, 2020 was a celebration of the 70s, this year: a controversial Freaknik party. Freaknik is an annual spring break festival in Atlanta, Georgia, primarily attended by students from historically black colleges and universities. Everyone joined in on the theme celebration, but some, were not happy by this.

Freaknik basically translates to a party (pic nik) of those fearlessly reliving and embracing Atlanta's kulture. There is a brand behind Freaknik at this point in time, whom was unhappy with 21 Savage’s themed birthday party. Multiple posts on their in-feed, and stories suggest that they asked 21 Savage to acknowledge their brand at the party, but had not done so. With that, they are stating legal action will take place.

Freaknik had just had a celebration about two weeks prior at an HBCU. The event fly was absolutely stacked with some legendary hip-hop artists, from Jermaine Dupri, Juvinelle, Too Short, Shawty Lo, Trina, Trick Daddy, Bun B, and so many more. Though a super solid line up, perhaps it was 21 Savage’s birthday party overshadowing the latest Freaknik event that had everyone in their feelings.

I’ve been waiting for the Savage theme party since the last one, so I am sure many whom typically attend thought the same. Videos leaked from the party show massive groups of people, all in similar color schemes, with crazy cars, and good music. Young Thug actually gifted 21 Savage with a new truck for his birthday. Fire engine red, with a gold wrap consisting of his knife logo on repeat, and a 21 Savage emblem on the door. This thing was a massive and loud. Young Thug does it again with the top tier gifting.

It seems like 21 Savage quite literally shut down Atlanta to have this block party. Dancing on the streets, live performances, and more. G Herbo was at the party and performed his verse on the Who Want Smoke Remix, which 21 is also included on. Metro Boomin, Jacquees, Gunna and Lil Baby were just a few of the other guests in attendance at the party.

Hopefully this night does not cause too much damage to 21 Savage’s legal struggles. But I am sure either way this will not be the end of the Savage themed parties.
