50 Cent’s Return to Music

5.3.23

50 Cent Get Rich or Die Tryin’ 2003

50 Cent was considered one of the hottest artist in the game in the early 2000s. In fact, it has been twenty years since the release of his debut studio album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. While 50’s career in recent years has been focused more on film and directing, fans believe new music could be near; extremely near.

Earlier today, 50 Cent wiped out his entire Instagram page, and added one note with a countdown. 50 Cent is very active on social media, from posting to the comments section, so a complete wipe of content is big news from the artist. The post that was shared, was a count down for twenty-four hours, with a note that read ‘20 years later..’ The background of the countdown button resembled broken glass in a red hue, much similar to the creative treatment on the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ album cover.

With a twenty year milestone, there could be some marketing or a celebration to commemorate an important piece to 50 Cent’s remarkable journey in hip-hop. However, of course fans are anticipating a new album. 50 Cent has hinted several times throughout this year that he has been in the studio and ready to drop new music. Wiping the feed is also standard practice for something brand new.

According to the timeline, whatever the surprise is, we should be finding out soon. Do you want a new 50 Cent album?

UPDATE: The countdown has seen timed out, and the announcement has been revealed. 50 Cent is going on a World Tour. The tour is titled his “Final Lap Tour,” with Get Rich or Die Tryin’ - 20 years later, also included on the tour flyer. This could be it for 50’s career in music, but it is sure to be a great time. Busta Rhymes and Jeremih should be joining 50 on his world tour which will kick off in the states this July.
