The MTV Movie Awards took place on Sunday, though had a different pace than originally planned. While the MTV Movie Awards was intended to be a live awards show, the Writers Guild of America had other plans. With the Writers Guild of America being on strike, MTV decided to take a new approach to the awards show, while still sharing new content while honoring some of your favorites from film this past year.
The MTV Movie Awards is an important night in pop-culture, and tends to have a little bit of something for everyone when you look through the nominees. Black Panther was nominated for Best Movie and Best Cast, Michael B Jordan was nominated for Best Performance in his role in Creed III, and Keke Palmer was nominated for Best Comedic Performance in a movie.
Bad Bunny was nominated for Best Breakthrough Performance for her performance in Bullet Train. Nick Cannon was nominated for Best Host, for his role as a host on Masked Signer. Love & Hip-Hop was nominated for Best Docu-Style Show.
