Quavo, Without You 2023

It still seems unreal that we lost Takeoff two months ago. Someone so young, and so on top of the world when it came it music. There was no stopping the Migos and their career, until their world got turned upside down by loosing a brother. Both Quavo and Offset have been vocal about how hard it has been to cope over the past two months, and understandably so. Last night, Quavo released a new single and music video, Without You, a tribute, to Takeoff.

The song is heartfelt and tearjerking. Really, a letter to Takeoff of how much he is missed, and the times Quavo will hold and remember forever. The music video, is just as tearjerking. Quavo is sitting in his studio chair, emotionless, smoking. Towards the end of the song, the video showcases the lyrics to the song, written out on lined paper. As Quavo ends the song singing “Take, Take, I’m Sorry,” the piece of paper folds into a rocket ship, and takes off.

Rest in Peace Takeoff, your legacy will never be forgotten.
