A New Youngin’ In Town
8.2.23
Chris Brown got his big break when he was just a young teenager. Though, it does not happen that early for many nowadays - especially in the hip-hop/rap scene. Luh Tyler has been the latest youngin’, to make a ton of noise in the industry, at just seventeen years old. This week, he teamed up with another fellow artist who is even younger than himself, and he is doing big numbers, as well.
Luh Tyler recently teamed up on a track with Sugarhill Ddot, 3 AM In The Yams. Sugarhill Ddot is a drill artist from Harlem, and is even younger than Luh Tyler at just fifteen years old. The teens music video has over 1,000,000 in less than on week. If you check out some of Sugarhill Ddot’s previous videos that have been out for about a year, he has reached over 8,000,000 views on multiple songs.
The drill scene is hott right now, and Luh Tyler’s sound is super unique. It makes sense for these artists to attention-grab, and should surely gain even more views just by curiosity at this level of success at such a young age. And not only that, but about what they rhyme about and what they have already had to witness in their lives. Sugarhill Ddot seems to mention Notti Osama in all of his song. Notti Osama is DD Osama’s brother, who lost his life last year at just fourteen years old to gang violence. Ddo and Notti were seemingly close friends and had recorded music together in the past.
It is pretty cool seeing these two come together on a track that has to be exciting to many. The New York Drill mixed with Florida flow will be sure to have you dancing through the rest of the summer. If you are feeling it, there is sure to be more to come as Ddot mentioned when sharing the rollout for the single that his album is on the way, also.
If the youngins can keep it together, and continue to put in work, they could set themselves for a long, successful career with plenty of room for growth. Luh Tyler right now is signed to Atlantic Records, a massive support system. Sugarhill Ddot has a distribution deal with Priority Records.
