Best Halloween Fits 2021
11.1.21
Halloween is not just for kids. Any excuse to dress up and party is for everyone. Not only that, but when you have money, it’s an all out costume content of who can put together the best, most detailed, most precise, and unique, costume. The celebrities surely came out to play this year with their creative and intricate costumes. Here is a look at some of he best, from the 2021 Halloween season.
DJ Khaled is such a family man, it only makes sense that he and his family do a matching set of family costumes. The boys all dressed up as Mario, while mom was a red gaming controller (I think). Khaled looked hysterical in his Mario costume, and the boys, adorable. Not the most unique of the bunch, but Mario on Halloween will never go out of style. Especially with that hair, Asahd.
Teyana Taylor already has about the best style in the game, so of course she knows how to bring it on Halloween. Not only did she rock a hilarious fit with Iman inspired by Wayne’s World, but when it was really time to show out, she absolutely nailed Madam Slay from Black Panther. Quite honestly I am having a hard time telling which one is the reference photo.
Polo G came through as Michael Jackson, with a clean, white suit, blue button up and fancy hat. He nailed this look to the tee, though not too hard of a look, this definitely means a lot more than an outfit. Polo G has specified Michael Jackson as one of his favorites artists of all time, only after Tupac. As such a young talent with such impactful idols, he is one of the most smart, most talented of the younger generation. This costume proves his passion for music and it’s history as a whole, and really put it up there as one of the more special fits for the year.
Latto is another artist that has a true passion for music, and appreciates it’s history. Not only that, but she always shows out with the costumes. From themed birthday parties or regular performances, she is going to be the best dressed in the room. This year, she dressed up as Faith Evans, and also re-imagined her infamous Vibe magazine cover with none other than Biggie Smalls. Latto killed this look, and they might just need to get her on a new Vibe magazine cover asap.
Probably my favorite costume of the year. I love Harry Potter, and the details are so spot on. Lil Nas X dressed as Lord Voldemort. Funny, Lil Nas X sings about saying his name, and dressed up as thou who shall not be named. After being portrayed as the devil, a bad influence, and controversial, I think Lil Nas X knew just what he was doing with this one.
My favorite couple spent their first Halloween with Baby Essex, and boy did they have some fun. G Herbo dressed up as Dr. Evil, and Baby Essex played Mini Me while chilling in the baby hammock. Of course, each of them rocking some clean Air Force 1s. A super fun, super recognizable look. However, Taina definitely stole the show with her Lilo and Stitch look for Baby Essex. Taina looked stunning as always, and Essex looked hilarious and so cute in his Stitch onesie.
Cardi B is another known to always do the most, and the best, when it comes to these things. Her and Kulture dressed as matching witches with gorgeous gowns. She also had a second look dressed as a flawless Morticia Addams from The Addams Family. As for Offset? He went a more comedic vibe, dressing up as Ric Flair with the perfect wig, leather jacket and knee-high wrestling boots.
Megan Thee Stallion showed us her costume about a week ahead of time prior to Halloween. While the execution was stunning, if I’m being honest, this is just frightening. However, 4oe came through and saved the day with the cutest whimsical clown costume for a puppy I have ever seen. I just want to steal him.
Was Soulja Boy the first rapper to dress up as Squid Games? I knew someone had to. My bet is on Squid Games being the most popular costume amongst the kids at the bars and house parties this year.
Rihanna got Gunna’s exact outfit down, all the way to the pose, and the face he’s making. Something about artists dressing up as other artists from their same time and generation. This is so fun and so awesome to me. I am sure Gunna was honored. Rihanna killed it, and looks stunning, as always.
Doja Cat is another one you know not to mess with when it comes time for dressing up, especially with costumes. Could it be, that Doja Cat was THE, Miss Sara Bellum from Power Puff Girls all along!? Though we never got to see her face, this could be the ultimate reveal. Looks convincing to me!
Finally, it’s the R&B King of makeup, costume and Avant Garde himself, The Weeknd. Or, should I say, Don Corleon. The Weeknd definitely wanted to show his respects to some legends in the space, while ultimately claiming the crown as the best dressed of the year. He looks like he is ready to take on acting gigs and blackmail everyone who does not give him the leading role. But hey, it’s just a costume, right?
