OVO Fest may have been delayed due to Drake coming down with Covid, but if you stuck around, it appeared to be well worth it. Just ten days after the original date, Drake was able to receive a negative Covid test, and reported the family is “so solid” they flew back in right away to put on the show.

The OVO Fest Tour served to be as a Young Money Reunion, featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. When the three get together, there is always comedy. Several clips have went viral, including one of Nicki Minaj grabbing Drake’s hand on stage, then asking loudly into the mic, “do you still have Covid!?”

Lil Wayne had his fun, also. Prior to him entering the stage, a screen with a message to the audience read “Unfortunately, Lil Wayne had some trouble at the border.” Hinting to fans that he may have not been able to make the show. Shortly after, a follow up message quoted “Luckily, Drake runs the border.” This of course was a nod to Drake running things around his home country of Canada, and announcing Weezy into the building.

That was not the only surprise from Wayne, however. Finishing up his performance he yelled to the crowd, “And I’m working on Carter VI, coming soon!” He also shared a follow up video on Instagram, just to be super clear.

The family was all in the building clearly enjoying themselves, and even took photos with others like OBJ and Avril Lavigne.
