Megan Thee Stallion

It may seem like forever since you have gotten your good dose of Megan Thee Stallion, Hottie Music. Her last, and technically only studio album, dropped two years ago, and we have been waiting on a new hot girl summer anthem for about a year now. To be honest, I am not sure if we’ll be twerking again this summer with Meg, but she definitely has some new music for us on the way.

A lot has been going on recently for Megan Thee Stallion, including a new acting gig. Meg was granted a role as her alter-personality, Tina Snow, in STARZ television series, P Valley. The shows releases new episodes weekly on Sundays, and it appears a soundtrack will release on August 14th including new music from the multi-talented artist.

Speaking of new music, Megan stopped LA Leakers for the second time with a new freestyle. This standardly means there is new music on the way, from the artist who drops by to share a freetstyle that almost always goes viral. So, it should finally time for new music from Meg, and all clues lead to a full length album from Megan Thee Stallion. You know what they say about Sophmore albums? They are here to make or break an artist.

Meg’s freestyle was over the Warren G & Nate Dogg's Regulate beat, and she went off for about two and half minutes. She called out all her haters, including her label (again) and dared others to step up after her and try to beat her freestyle. In my opinion, it continued to get better as it went on, and after a few listens, I think it was pretty dope.

This freestyle comes two weeks after releasing her new single Pressurelicious with Future, whose music video has garnered over 2,500,000 million views in two weeks. After sharing the single artwork for this track on Instagram, it appeared Megan had deleted all previous Instagram posts, which standardly means some sort of a reset for an artist.

We have seen several teasers for the new album (or project) which is sure to be titled, Tramuazine. Megan has shared a post dedicated to the definition of the term. She has shared that is excited for her fans to understand what is going on inside her head. Finally, a video trailer, showcases Megan wearing all black, walking towards a coffin. The scene transitions into her wearing all white, walking through pouring rain, which ends staring at the camera, fading black to the words, Tramuazine.

I have personally always been one to think that Megan struggled with putting out albums because she was focused on her one-flow, super hip-hop, super twerk anthem, boss-bitch-don’t-need-anybody anthems. Sometimes, you need to sing, at whatever capability you have. Sometimes, you need to let your fans get to know you at a deeper level. They want the bangers and the anthems, but a full length album is much more than that. We want to hear a Megan love song, a story-telling song. Meg doing different beats and flows, and showing her versatility as an artist.

I have a strong feeling that all of this coming with this album, as Meg expresses letting people in. I am not sure how it will sound, but I cannot wait to hear it. Either way, whether or not I have to eat my words, I am excited and proud of Megan for going outside of her comfort zone to highlight her potential versatility as an ARTIST.
