French Montana, Kanye West

French Montana undoubtedly deserves more respect than he is given. However, he continues to be a punching bag for internet trolls. Many times, regarding his music, but this go-around, involving sneakers. Allegedly, a pair of French Montana sneakers found themselves on eBay for less than a dollar.

People have argued over who has more hits, French Montana or Kendrick Lamar. They have argued over who has longevity, and deserves their street cred for certain songs, rhymes, trends, etc. However, French has done nothing but keep his head held high, and try to educate the haters. Maybe he was right, and they need something to troll for, because people are coming for French Montana and his new sneakers.

French apparently went to a recent basketball game, and sat court side with Kanye West. Obviously a hip-hop and sneaker legend himself, French shared images and videos of him gifting Kanye the same pair of sneakers that he had on his feet. They appeared to be a Coke Boys x LA x Jordan 3. The heels read “Coke Boys LAX”, the side panel with a purple and yellow LA stitching, and additional details in Lakers colors.

While everyone seemed excited in the exchange, reports say that Kanye left the sneakers in the locker room, and they were later found on eBay for $0.99. It would be a shame for Ye to really have left the sneakers behind, but it does look like someone is selling a pair on eBay, and suggesting it is the pair that French gifted Ye. However, the dollar quote was to start the bidding, and the price is currently up to $15,400.

From the sounds of the video, I think French was getting Ye a pair in his size, which was a bit off from what they had in person, which was likely why one of the parties left the pair behind. It is also common for people to want their sneakers to go on reseller sites prior to any official launches, to amplify the hype and interest. No official release info is around a full sneaker release, but French did drop a NFT Sneaker collection earlier this year. Perhaps with Nike and Jordan Brand entering the meta-verse, they saw the success for the release and decided to make a limited run of physicals for the artist and friends to rock.

Are you paying $15,000 on a French Montana Coke Boys Jordan?
