Curtain Call 2

Eminem Curtain Call 2 8.5.22

Eminem announced yesterday that he will be releasing Curtain Call 2. The original Curtain Call album was a collection of greatest hits from Eminem’s discography, along with four new tracks. This album is certainly another compilation of hits, but does have room for more new music, as well.

The idea of Curtain Call, certainly sounds like the exit to one’s career. However, I am not sure we can really say that about someone like Eminem. When he is around music, he is completely invested and although he might be ready for his second “curtain call,” I do not think this will be the end of Marshall’s legacy, especially with his label he has been building.

The album cover shared does give a lot of hints of what is to come from this album. You can see the Kamikaze plane, the MMLP2 house, Eminem - or - Alfred Hitchcock, coming from the ground, and more. These are all representations from his previous albums, where the top hit singles will be included on the Curtain Call 2 compilation album. The album should feature singles from the album Relapse, and onward. Not only this, but the press release on the album also shares there will be side projects and guest appearances. While Eminem is holding that devil’s horns to his head in the creative, I can only assume something from the Machine Gun Kelly diss era will be included.

There is so much to unfold in this album cover. The hidden details in every corner. The hints at different albums and singles. The numbers on the pills, which I originally thought could have been previous album sales, but do not seem to match up quite right. It is brilliant.

Will there be new music? Well, we do know that Eminem’s most recent single with Snoop Dogg is actually the lead single for this project. In addition, he will include the CeeLo Green track that is due to be featured on the new Elvis movie. Not enough? Well, there is going to be one additional, currently unreleased track that will be added to the album, to be announced in the coming weeks.

Eminem is gearing up to release Curtain Call 2 on August 5th. Are you ready to reminisce on some of your Slim Shady favorites?
