Doggystyle Sequel
10.4.22
Snoop Dogg as the new owner of Death Row Records has been making power moves, and continuing to make music, what we had all hoped to see. Since their Super Bowl Performance, Snoop and Dre have appeared to remain close, working with each other a decent amount, to continue one another’s catalog together. The latest, could be a new Snoop Dogg album, produced by Dr. Dre: Missionary.
Snoop Dogg was recently on ESPN Commentator, Stephen A. Smith’s, podcast, titled K[NO]W MERCY. It was here where Snoop suggested he had been working on album for the past two months with Dr. Dre, and that they should be able to wrap up the project sometime in November. He suggested that the name of the album would be Missionary, a sequel to his previous Dre produced album, Doggystyle.
There is so much to live up to, following up this duo, and the Doggystyle album in particular. Now that Snoop is back on Death Row Records with ownership of the label, it feels only right. Missionary would be Snoop’s fourth album under Death Row Records, and second since the twenty-six year gap between his time spent on, and off, of the label. This November would mark 29 years from the initial launch of Doggystyle, with the big 30th anniversary right around the corner.
No word on a set release date for this project, but we will indeed be ready.
