Double DaBaby Drop

5.12.22

It has not been an easy journey for DaBaby, but his work ethic has remained the same. Continue to release new music at a consistent pace. Ensure the energy is always high. Utilize his industry friends and important relationships to keep people excited, and refrain from any cancellation talk. DaBaby just dropped two new singles with major features, that some may call back-to-back hits for fans this summer.

DaBaby’s legal issues and cancel talk have been in abundance over months past. This week, his ex and mother of his child, DaniLeigh, has began to air out some of their dirty laundry, yet again. On May 10th, DaniLeigh posted a two big videos. One of them, being an interview with Angie Martinez. In the interview, she discussed the relationship with DaBaby being toxic and having her issues with DaBaby’s second baby mother. On the same day, she released an audio video to a new track titled, Dead to Me. This song people are calling a diss track towards DaBaby. She talks about how her family never liked this man, there were many lies and allegations, and that the man is officially dead to DaniLeigh. Their breakup was certainly traumatic, and though it was a while back at this point, DaniLeigh decided now was her time to express herself on the situation.

Even though this is certainly bringing up more DaBaby drama that he really does not need more of, he is cool as a cucumber, per usual. Instead, he had two singles on deck, and decided to release both of them. DaBaby dropped single Wig featuring Moneybagg Yo, and Bonnet, featuring Pooh Shiesty.

Both tracks are just under three minutes long. They have the same high-tempo, up beat sound, that you can certainly blast through your speakers. DaBaby had shared posts of fans saying he just dropped the song of the summer. I do not know if we are quite there yet, but these certainly do earn themselves more play time than a few of the rushed singles he’s released in the past.

But on that note, is dropping new music a tactic DaBaby is using to defer the negative drama around his name at any given moment? Is it working for you?
