Fast & Furious 9 ‘The Fast Saga’ will be coming to a theater near you on June 25th. The infamous Vin Diesel serious has officially been around for two decades. After over year without being able to attend movie theater, movie buffs are surely in for a treat with this one. The cast is calling it one of the most action packed films thus far. On top of the “diesel” lineup which the films standardly have, a new face brings interest from our world. Cardi B has scored herself a major acting gig.

Cardi B is of course infamous for her music, but is no stranger to the big screen, either. She stared in seasons six and seven of Love & Hip-Hop on VH1, and was one of the three judges on Netflix’s Rhymthm & Flow, which is said to have been scheduled for as season two, as well. Plus, you may recall her role in Hustlers in 2019, with JLO. Cardi has always spoke about on top of being a good artist, you need to be an entertainer. There is no doubt Cardi is entertaining, and it appears she caught the attention of Vine Diesel, as she has landed a major role in his new film.

Last night, Cardi B expressed her excitement for her new role in the film. She took to Twitter to share

“I can’t wait to watch Fast and Furious 9. I haven’t seen my scenes yet! That’s the best part about it thooo watching the movie then you see yourself coming in. I’m sooo proud of myself. GOD IS GOOD! Can I get a ALL THE TIME ? !!!!”

Looks like Cardi will be seeing her acting skills in action for the first time, along with us. It is amazing to see how excited she is for her new gig, however.

Cardi’s role will play as a female named Leysa, who is said to be a woman from Dom Toretton (Vin Diesel’s) past. In a brief interview, Cardi shares that Vin Diesel himself reached out to Cardi, discussing a role. Her instant reaction was “it’s freaking Fast and Furious. Get me there! Put me on a plane!” And they have certainly made that happen. She also mentioned how great he was to work with, and how excited she was about the rest of the cast, whom “give the hood hope” when discussing Ludacris, Don Omar, and Ozuma, specifically. Most importantly, she said her role as a strong, powerful female felt empowering, and should be great to inspire others.

On top of this, the full trailer includes similar interviews from the rest of the female casts. They all expressed how empowered they felt as strong women in the movie. This movie, like the rest, is certainly to be action packed to the max, and appears to be really great for strong women, as well. It just feels important for the current times, after the past year we have all dealt with. I am no movie buff, but I do enjoy a good Vin Diesel film, and I cannot wait to see more about Cardi B and her role in this film.

Vin Diesel originally shared a post with Cardi B back in 2019 after being on set for days, exhausted. They were both having an amazing time and had laid it all out there. The move was expected to have been released already, but of course with the times, there have been a few delays. Finally, we will get to see the magic happen June 25th.
